Koboko Crafts (Shoprite Hustle) Overview
- This project forms part of the Shoprite Hustle: Entrepreneur of the Month. If this cause is dear to your heart and you would like to help this budding entrepreneur in the bio-feul industry follow the link to make your contribution. Every little bit will help them get closer to achieving their dream.
This project goes towards community development, stimulating innovative entrepreneurial interventions, supporting emerging micro-enterprises and supporting organisations that do so. Take My Hand would like to thank Shoprite for their generous contribution in making this happen.
- Take My Hand began in 2005 as an awareness campaign on Mnet via the Xmas wishlist on 94.7 Highveld Stereo which ran over the months of November and December. In 2010 the initiative moved to KykNET and Jacaranda 94.2 (Good Morning Angles) turning into a weekly feature which ran throughout the entire year. During 2011, Take My Hand was incorporated as a Non-Profit Company and thus began the journey to where we are today.
- Project needs funding to acquire material and tools to increase product range. They would also like to buy a container to use as a workshop and storage as their facility now is only small enough to produce products upon order. More staff will also be employed to assist i n operations.
