Bonginkosi Educare Centre is a non-profit educational institution in Khayelitsha, Cape Town. It has a rich history involving a number of key players all sharing a common goal: to make a difference.
Bonginkosi has over 300 children in our care - many of which are newborn babies and children who are HIV positive or AIDS orphans. The care and nutrition these children receive allow them to flourish at school as they are adequately prepared for their formal schooling careers. Feedback from graduated scholars is often received by the Educare, proving Bonginkosi’s efforts are not only worthwhile, but they create brighter futures
- Under the watchful eye of Sue Maartens, the school gained the trust of locals in Khayelitsha and soon grew to include infants and toddlers. To date, more than 10000 children have received care through this school.
